Do you often forget your keys or to turn off your straightening iron? Do you work 8 or more hours a day, take care of your family, and fall into bed? As a member of Brooks Brower Consultants, associated with Rodan and Fields it is my duty to remind you to take care of the largest organ of your body; your skin. Remember the old saying,"tie a string around your finger?" Well, who has that much red string available each day?
A wise women once told me that her physical memory trigger was to move her watch to her other arm when she needs to remember to do something important. At a point during the day, she will recognize the odd feeling of the watch on the "wrong" arm. She will complete her task and move her watch to the "correct" arm. I tried this yesterday. I needed to follow-up with a few prospects. Of course, that is already on my daily to do list. However, I needed an extra reminder in the midst of my busy day. Guess what? It WORKS! Around 2ish, in the middle of a whirlwind of meetings, I felt the oddness on my right arm. A comfort filled my spirit, as I was able to complete my important follow-up calls and return my watch to it's rightful location.
I encourage you to look around your house, your office, your car, or your body and place something out of its normal location as a reminder that you deserve amazing skin and you need to take time for yourself. Find your personal version of the ever faithful "red string", and remember to make a great choice for yourself each day!
Cheers,
Brooks
